I met this woman that I really like a lot, but she has a dog (a big dog) that lives in her home and I'm not fond of dogs. What should I do? What should a person do when they have to decide between a mate and a dog?

By the way her dog is a pitbull.
Lots of women think of their dogs as their kid. If you don't like the woman's kid (dog), get the hell away from her as soon as you can! You will only cause hurt, heart ache and pain for you both.

I know I wouldn't part with my pet over a man.

Become friends with that pooch then when you break up you get visitation rights to the dog on weekends & every other holiday!

No shit it happened to someone I know.

She has a pitbull living in her home do you know the track record of pitbulls, they have killed a lot of people.
Those dogs can snap at any moment. It's not like she has a regular dog in her home.

Just tell the woman you don't like the dog. Simple.

I don't understand folks getting so attached to their pets, I really don't. I've had two wonderful dogs and a few wonderful cats, but I can't say I loved them. I really, really, liked them, and one cat, I still miss. But he was just a cat. A super cool cat, true, (maybe the coolest cat ever) but just a cat.
