Putin, IMO is another Joseph Stalin (modern day). No, it's not your opinion.
So stop plagiarizing me, you old fossil...quit repeating my talking points I've dropped here for the past 2 weeks. Go steal your Cauca-kinfolks scholarship, not mines.

We'll see who is dumb when this plays out. So far Putin is proving to be the far more superior chess player.
putin .... ... i just pity dat fool
but unfortunately...other fools, praise that fool.
Which is why zecharia does what he does.

Finally someone is doing something. It seems that Russia has done more in a week than the US and its allies have done all summer.
Good for them. It's about time someone else plays world police. We need to get out of the middle east altogether
The U.S. will never leave this region. It has too much oil. That's why the U.S. is so friendly with countries like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Quatar and Turkey. But American business interests come before the suffering of people in the Middle East. Now the US is being sidelined by Russia. Yet another mess.

You remind me of Obama, big on rhetoric and hyperbole, while Putin quietly initiates actions. Better reserve your pity for the needy.
Zecharia, You don't see this as Putin attempting to rekindle, and combine, the Eurasian landmass? If he can establish one big continent, he then has a lot of control and power. If he can get certain leaders, in certain places, he can re-establish a powerful nation, with a lot of influence and money, to implement a long term goal, to control and establish the Eurasia nation. Asia is the continent, Europe is only a sub-continent. However, look out Israel, which is supported heavily by the US.
Putin, IMO is another Joseph Stalin (modern day). Most of the pictures you see of him he appears to have great difficulty looking anyone in the eye. Just a guess but he's sneaky and evil...is not to be trusted because as you said he has "bigger fish to fry"....and to him America is in the way. u giving dat fool Putin too much credit...
i mean he is no different from isis trying to bring back the caliphate
trying to recreate a modern day closed colonial empire as in old soviet union is no different from a frustrated impotent great Britain trying to recreate the old British empire to compete in 21st century
empires fall for reason...
what used to work dosen`t work anymore... the world will always move past stagnant forces
only a fool will try to move back time.....
... wise ones just recreate the past in `new clothing".... dats Americas secret to success
ps: am on internet on a billgates computer..... google brought me here.... just finished speaking on my steve job`s jesus phone etc etc and ooh i am a `free-man" i do what i please { i forgot gotta pay ONLY in dollars for those `normal day activities" }
? still asking who is winning

pleeeze!!

Russians now stand directly in opposition to the United States pilots, jet fighters, and special forces operatives on the ground in Syria supporting the death squads (even if the official U.S. line is publicly opposed to ISIS and supportive of “moderate” cannibals).
Cannibals?

I think more than Putin is involved. He alone, cannot accomplish the goal, so he has some allies, maybe even in America. I would guess, some powerful Asia 'doer's and shakers' are giving him a silent nod to proceed, with the plan. He alone, does not have the resources, nor the arsenal. This is way larger, than just Syria.. This is to merge the two (Asia/Europe) back together, as they once were, to me, that is.. If he has someone in China backing him in his efforts, he's on his way!

That's the other fish to fry I was referring to.

I think Putin is showing himself to be a leader, and other nations are getting behind him.
His success will mean embarrassment for our politicians, and reduced international standing for our country. And U.S. Politicians spewing rhetoric, like (was it) John McCain a week ago, claiming that Russia was targeting U.S. backed rebels just made me sick. If the U.S. is not willing to help put down the ISIS/ISIL movement, common sense says "get out of the way". We, the U.S. political strategists, are acting as though we've never held hands with a leader for x-amount of time, then turn around and stab them in the back a few years later. We should have no problem getting on board with Putin to defeat ISIS/ISIL and worry about our issues with Assad later.
The big picture is even bigger than ISIS. I think it's about Putin telling America to step aside and let him reign.
