I think she's saying, in America, the soldier would be guilty of kidnapping. Adultery in the states, is mostly a misdemeanor, a civil matter, and for him (soldier) to allow his emotions to overtake him, whereas pull a gun, then he has committed and broken the law, ie kidnapping. I was asking you guys, in America, if you're in uniform, aren't you on official business? (a cop doesn't were his uniform on his days off) So if you did this in America, while in uniform, are there additional charges or punishments, you would face, from the military? |

Unless something has changed in the last 25 years, yes and yes. Here it likely would lead to a dishonorable discharge. At the very least loss of rank and pay |

Yes, thanks Redd. That's exactly what I meant. Many people think of kidnapping as being tied up to a chair, with duct tape across their mouth. Or someone snatching a kid. If these people are being logical, then they'll think about it and realize that kidnapping is simply holding someone against their will. That's illegal. ...unless people want to argue that the guy and gal wanted to walk around outside nude at gunpoint. And that they could've remained in the house if they wanted to WITHOUT the fear of being shot and/or killed. |

You sound like the average female who like a watchdog, keeps other females away from her man, never blaming him for his weaknesses.
