Backbone you are RIGHT. We has positive Rappers like Public Enemy and XClan and they were putting a positive message in their songs and they were waking up black people. White people saw this and they got nervous, they were nervous that positive rappers could wake up black people and become a threat to their power. So whites in power felt that they had to counter attack this message, and they used NWA to do it. NWA was the complete opposite of the conscious rappers. NWA was glorifying the criminal lifestyle, and they were glorifying black on black violence and disrespect of women, and white record companies financed them because they were pushing a message that was destructive to blacks. White people couldn't get away with making songs about killing blacks. So they got NWA and other rappers to do it for them. Rappers today are still doing it for white people.

Black people don't have history of making songs about raping women, and killing them. I don't know where NWA was getting that crazy mess from, but that's not a black thing. |

Rap was in decline when NWA hit the scene. Gangsta rap brought the genre back to life. |

only a self-hating fool would post something like, this, as the genre was alive and well thx to conscious rap acts like KRS-One & Public Enemy/ChuckD & Professor Griff, Professor X, Kool Moe Dee ...lol... it laughable when you White dudes come here trying to speak on our Black creativity---as according to how Pop Culture hoodwinked you when it's Record Labels started in on ghetto rappers via their genocidal subjugation Movement. When NWA came out making songs about killing blacks, white record companies were glad to promote it But white record companies didn't promote and push Xclan, Dead Prez and other conscious rappers. |

If a white rap group made the exact same songs as NWA blacks would say that they are racist, to make songs glorifying the killing up blacks. |
