But I don't do it. I don't make colorist remarks to anyone under any circumstances. My 18 year old niece, my honey boo, is a dark skin and stark gorgeous girl. She's many shades darker than me and to me she is beautiful. 
Black is beautiful, meaning dark black, and that's how my eyes see it.
So I don't make colorist remarks to anyone under any circumstances.
Just as I never make disparaging remarks against children.

Whether you do or not, you don't have the right to tell someone else, they shouldn't. Especially in defending themselves.
