When you love someone you don't just sit by and watch them self destruct. Malcolm X was very hard on black people. He was hard on us because he wanted to see us become a better people. Malcolm said that blacks need to get off of welfare, and he spoke out against blacks having babies out of wedlock. In the video below Malcolm said that blacks are like kids BEGGING white people to do something for them. Malcolm X said that we will never get respect as a people, until we stand on our own two feet and do something for ourselves. When he was living Malcolm X was hated by a lot of black people. A lot of the well known black organizations spoke against him. Bill Cosby words are very similar to Malcolm X in many ways. The only difference is Malcolm was a lot HARDER on blacks than Bill. First of all I want you to listen to this Malcolm X video and then listen to that Bill Cosby video.. Some blacks criticized Bill Cosby for saying the things on this video. He was saying that he want to see blacks clean up our community, and he wants to see black kids stop dropping out of school. Malcolm X and Bill Cosby both gave us tough love because they wanted to see us become a better people. They saw other races of people being strong and productive, and they felt that we could also be just as strong or stronger than other groups, if we made some positive changes.
