So this, "I'd ask him what was the problem" meant nothing?
It means I want to know why he'd say that, because MY husband wouldn't say that without a reason. MY husband would go make a plate for him and me. If he said he's hungry but didn't go make the plate, I'd know it's code for something else.
Why he'd say what? ie, thanks, yes I would like a plate?
Aye, aye, aye. Why he'd say "I'm hungry" but not go make a plate.
He did say I'm hungry to you hypothetically. The woman overheard, so it wasn't aimed at anyone other than you.
Hmmm
Snidely, just go sit down somewhere while I slip into a bikini and bring you a plate and a drink.
See now. Dat's what I'm talkin' 'bout By the way, would that be an empty plate and no cup
All sugar and spice, and everything knife😈. I mean NICE! Everything nice. 💋 A little femme fatale roll play huh

The guy is gonna starve to death if he's waiting for me to bring him a plate.
No one is shocked by this, that's way men avoid you like the plague. But if all women refrained from functioning as slaves, would any man starve to death?
Of course not.
They'll go and fix their own plate.
Nothing to avoid a woman like the plague over.

Negro. Please. if Ciss showed you that old ancient hymen ladened with, cobwebs, you would pull your genitalia and immediately start humping her. You've gone too, too many years disrespecting this website with your public overt vile lusts for any trifling promiscuous women...so there's no way you'd avoid Ciss ---even if she had the plague--- there's no way you would pass up on Ciss
You prefer my interest aimed at male members? Probably.

Nothing to avoid a woman like the plague over. cb, so much of your view is conflict base, like 2 combatants trying to maintain détente. That's not what a loving relationship is. You fix him a plate because that's your man, because you love him, because there is something intimate between you 2. He opens doors for you, does grunt work for you, for all the same reasons. You're not keeping a score sheet. Sometimes it's 50-50, sometimes 80-20, like the old Teddy Pendergrass song.
You're kinda talk is indicative of a woman who is selfish and bitter. It wouldn't be surprising if other women who like the man swooped in and fixed him a plate.

A woman who won't coddle a grown man isn't bitter.
She's simply asserting her independence and freedom from cradle rocking.

So red, you've had 6 million responses. What say you now? My luv, I actually forgot about this post, so sorry.
It's hard for me to answer, solely because I know my hubby very well. If there is food, ready to be consumed, he would ask, do I want something, yes, bring it back, or no, go get his own.
Other than that, if I cook (hardly ever) I would bring him his food; if he cooks (all the time), I get my food brought to me.
In this situation, if a woman overheard him saying, he's hungry, and didn't feel like I heard or cared about him eating, I would tell her to bring me a plate also. If she became angry because I asked for a plate also, my hubby would ask?
"Why are you so gun ho to bring me a plate, but get offended if my wife asks for one also?"
