There is a difference between a black leader and a black activist. Today we have people that are considered activist, but we don't really have black leaders.

Example of what would be considered a (LEADER).

1. Marcus Garvey had 6 million members in his organization, and he built factories, grocery stores, a hotel, owned a shipping company and through these things he created jobs for 1000's of people.

2. Elijah Muhammad had 100,000 members in the Nation of Islam, and he built a bank. He built grocery stores, owned apartment buildings and rented them out. Through these things he created jobs for black people.

3. A person that's a black leader often build things and create jobs.

We have a lot of blacks that are (ACTIVIST).

An activist is someone that speaks out against injustice done to blacks. Activist is someone that will get involved and organize marches and protest.

Activist are not known for building companies and creating jobs.

1. Martin Luther King Jr was an activist.

2. Malcolm X was an activist.

3. Nelson Mandela was an activist.

4. Minister Farrakhan is an activist

5. Jesse Jackson is an activist.

6. People in the Civil Rights Movement are activist.

7. Black panthers are activist.

Then we have black people that are (SCHOLARS).

Black scholars are normally people that write books about the condition of black people. They write articles, create blogs and debate about condition of black people.

1. WEB Dubois was a black scholar.

2. Dr Boyce Watkins is a scholar.

3. Cornel West is a scholar.

4. Dr Michael Eric Dyson is a scholar.

Scholars are not known for organizing marches and protest. Scholars are not known having large numbers of dollars, or creating jobs.

Today we have activist and scholars, but we don't have black leaders that creating jobs for blacks.
