If this man can walk 21 miles to work, then what excuse do people have to be sitting around on food stamp and welfare?
Is it really that simple?

Isn't the New York marathon aprx 20 miles and takes aprx 4 hrs running? I wonder if someone got a detail or two wrong...

But, walking to work everyday, even in the cold - a mile or more - he gets a gold star from me. ⭐️
excellent point truthie. you're right on top of the math here.
Lol! ⭐️
A gold star for me, too. :P
Two gold stars..

Not to knock the story, my mind went to math also, didn't add up, time & distance.

Well looks like he will be getting a new car, kudo's to him and his wife.

Yes it's that simple, that man could make the choice to sit at home and get on welfare and let the tax payers take care of him. But he's making the choice to work even if he have to walk a long way to work.

If you don't have a car and the bus don't come your way, what else was he to do? I think I would just wait for the 1st of the month check. :P

if he were lightskinned...I bet you wouldn't have posted this nonsense, noper, there's no way you would have focused on this for the story.

21 miles is the total distance of his trip from home to work. Plus he actually walks 8 miles, to work, then he walks 13 miles after he gets off...since that is the distance it takes to get to the closest public transportation available at those hours.

The numbers as it relates to the time he walked to work and the distance he walked simply does not add up. No one is saying that he didn't struggle valiantly to get to work. It's quite obvious that he did. But only a person who doesn't know that it takes two hours and change to RUN 26 miles (as in the New York Marathon) would believe that he can WALK 20 miles in 2 hours each day. Anyway I am glad he recieved a car. He can use the extra money for insurance, gas, maintenance, parking, tickets, etc, etc.

I have a young friend whose brother was locked up on an old warrant. He stayed in jail for a month. When he finally got out, he called his boss on his old job to see if he still had a job. His boss said why sure! He was told last year when we had snow and icey conditions, he was the only one to show up riding a motorcycle because he didn't own a car!No one else showed up.
