I suppose no one has an answer to my question. How did the first round of riots help the people in Ferguson?
Some folk probably got some free appliances, liquor, clothing... That's about it. A good number of the rioters weren't even from Ferguson. A lot of misguided people taking advantage of the situation to satisfy their own agenda.

This is where I agree with you. The majority of riot takers are from out of town. There agenda has nothing to do with Mike Brown.

Make the case why this police shooting shouldn't go to trial and let a jury decide?

Then you wonder why young black people don't want to vote. Beccause this is the kind of BS politicians they get when they vote.

What message has Obama sent to the police across America that's killing blacks?
That even as President a black man gets no respect in this country....
That's funny, I and everyone I know gets plenty of respect and we do pretty well for ourselves. Must be all the white sympathizing, uncle tom-ing, and safe negro-ing we do.
Move to Ferguson which is a mostly black area and you won't be saying that. So where do you live in this country that gives you so much respect...?

Well...

A. It doesn't matter where I live; racism is universal. The only things that change from place to place is how overt and widespread it is. You certainly can have an easier time of it in one place versus another - I'll agree with that. A large part of life, though, is determined by how we treat ourselves and others.

B. Respect has to be earned before it is given. You earn respect by having character, integrity, and engaging in ethical behavior.

I am surprised you would post this, BR.

People should never give up on the voting process.

Not voting only ensures the same unsatisfactory status quo.

You are not tellin me nothing I haven't lived but you express how respected you are in your area and either ashame or afraid to say where that is.
You mention earning respect, well black folks have always been over achievers by having character, integrity, and engaging in ethical behavior but yet we are still shot down with no justice. I live in WV and not far from me 2 black men that were brothers was looking over property they have just purchased and was shot by a neighbor (white) who has spotted them from his doorway. The only person that got respect was the white who is now still sitting at home with his guns given back to him.The news here showed the story the time of the shooting about a year ago but nothing since. You don't think these black new property owners earn any respect before they were shot dead...?
