But, I would ask, what was built in the Aftermath of Ferguson? Were new tech centers created to give kids out there an economic advantage? Was an alternative, Black owned media brand licensed to battle against the "white" perspective of matters in Ferguson? Were the churches organized economically to politically and academically arm young people there that they'll never have to depend on the white structure in power there ever again? The short of it.....No.Black folks once again got emotional, nostalgic and curled into fetal position, "look at what they're doing to us", victim logic, instead of being strategic. From all that happened in Ferguson, there was no fight on our end. Our people once again learned to lie down, put their hands up like punks and allow the same system to persist. |

Sadly, when such solutions are suggested.....those over-wrought with emotion will look at you like you're crazy. I have advocated quiet riots for years. What happened in Ferguson, and the recent revelations about the police department was proof that blacks should do exactly what you suggested. In this information age, folks should have used that opportunity at various gatherings in that area to network & collaborate on self-empowerment endeavors. Instead....folks marched, rioted, made speeches, and then went home. That is the problem with doing things out of anger, instead of formulating & engaging in thought-out long term planning. If you do something out of anger (without much thought of long-term consequences), once extreme emotion it passes, so often does your motivation to seek long term change.
