I've eaten canned soup most of my adult life, I had no idea it's so easy to make them from scratch! This recipe is from my sister in law's side of the family. She serves her potato soup with toasted cheese sandwiches and it's very delicious. Also, to make oyster stew, she simply makes this potato soup then adds a can of oysters to it! Grandma Louise Potato Soup Sautee a large diced onion and approx 3 stalks of celery in butter in the bottom of your soup kettle. Include the little celery leaves to make it like Grandma L's soup! Add diced bacon if you have it or want it. When the onion and celery are soft, add diced potato and 2 cups chicken broth. Bring to a boil and simmer until potato is cooked. Now add milk to make the amount of soup you want. Salt & pepper to taste. That's it! This recipe is very flexible. You can use any kind of milk, or canned milk, or half & half, or part cream. Whatever. You can use chicken broth or just salted water to cook the potatoes. And you can make "more" or "less" depending on how many potatoes you use and how much milk you add. |

Homemade deviled ham sandwiches go well with a hot bowl of soup! Deviled Ham Spread 1.5 lbs cooked ham 2 boiled eggs, peeled 1/2 small onion, chopped 2 celery stalks + Green leaves 1/2 cup dill pickles 1/2 cup black olives 1 tsp celery seed Fresh ground pepper Spicy mustard & mayonnaise to taste Process everything except the celery seeds, mustard & mayo in a good processor until smooth & spreadable Add seasoning & mustard & mayo until desired consistency. Serve with crackers or on sandwich bread. Note that no salt was mentioned. Ham is often already salty, plus crackers will be too. If desired, add more but taste before you do so it's not too much. Enjoy! |

Goat head soup? I will look up a recipe for it! :-) I've never eaten Jamaican food. I've eaten fish head soup, it was very delicious! My co-worker made it for the center and it was the best soup I'd eaten in my life! :-) I've never heard of or eaten coco bread! I would find dining with you, a very interesting experience! :-) |

Plus 1, my little ones had so much fun making these for the furry family members we have! The Furry Family Members had a great time eating them, too! The next batch we'll make will include peanut butter and possibly some cheese. |
