I'm making a fresh spinach, strawberry, pineapple, and orange smoothie.

Detox time, from the none sense I ate yesterday!

1 orange, peeled
6-8 strawberries, sliced
1 cup of cut up fresh pineapple
2 big handfuls of fresh baby spinach
1 cup liquid; water, orange juice, ice cubes, etc...

Using a high powered blender; blend fruit with liquid, add spinach blend very well, pour into cups & enjoy!

Who here has a garden? Tomatoes will be bountiful!

Poached Tomatoes
1 head of garlic, cloves separated
2 sprigs rosemary
2 sprigs thyme
1 cup olive oil
1 pound plum tomatoes (about 6), halved, cored
1 tsp. kosher salt

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Toss tomatoes, garlic, rosemary and thyme sprigs, oil, and salt in a large baking dish.
Bake tomatoes until they are soft and skins begin to shrivel, 35–45 minutes. Let cool slightly, then slip off skins. Discard herbs.

I am going to try and do this on the grill outside.

This morning I rose early to make a batch of homemade croissants. They turned out perfect and my sisters were over for breakfast.

I boiled each an egg, I served fresh apples and grapes, freshly squeezed orange juice, cubed sharp cheddar cheese, hot tea, and a freshly baked homemade croissant! The croissant was tender and flaky and buttery. There was no need to add butter to it. It melted, in our mouths.

This is a recipe I'd like. :)

Do you ever cook or eat, quinoa?

Yes, I do. I use it just like I'd use rice in a dish.

The brand I buy is supposedly already rinsed and ready to go, but I rinse it again just in case.
I love Quinoa!

I'm eating hot dogs and pop corn this weekend. I'll swim extra laps in my pool to make up for it.
As a gym rat, I always set aside two days for junk food (Friday & Saturday) before resuming my healthy eating and exercising on Sunday.

Thats a good plan.

It doesnt always work out that way. But I try to do that for Sat and Sun.

Everyone is different, so one must create a system that works for them.

Quinoa

I looked it up and read some recipes. It is a seed? Interesting.

You can use it in place of rice, as a dessert, depending on how you cook it.

You can eat it raw, just soak it in cool water for 8 hours first!

It's a great source of protein so for those who don't eat meat can have it.
