But yea adding bacon or any other meat to them, while tasty, seems too extra and fatty for me these days. |

I agree. (Which is why I left out the bacon and butter from the original recipe.) Usually, I bake them......and add Parmesan cheese at the end. Raw? Whoo! Out of my comfort zone. I might try it just for that reason.

Yea they take a lot to chew raw. But I cut in half. Drizzle with olive oil and add pine nuts and parmesan. |
