This petition is a year and a half old. Has it had any impact on rap?
This particular petition may not ignite an avalanche but it could initiate a conversation.

Think about it, how many times did blacks in the south heard some sweat pouring red neck, with a snot ridden red, white and blue handkerchief hanging from his 3 weeks long wearing without a wash overalls say, "Hell will freezes over before those N's are freed.

Or, they will never work next to me.

Or, they will never live in my neighborhood.

Or, attend the same school

Or, own a company

Or, date my son or daughter, (it too bad this one didn't come true. Just my opinion, don't get your panties in a bunch).

Or, it will be a cold day in HELL before a N ever become the President Of The United States of America.

Lucifers heating bill must be outrageous by now.

So in 50 or 100 years this petition will have an impact?

As I stated previously, maybe not this petition but the discussion has started, so let's see where it leads us.

If nothing else, somebody tried to make a difference.

Just imagine if Rosa Parks never decided to place her derrière in one of those front row seats on the bus.

That discussion has been going on for a couple of decades now

Exactly.

And the saddest part, is that my dear brother kennyinbmore is the same guy who recently attacked the citizens' of Ferguson for not making a difference/not going to voting polls to exercise their voice for change. But then, he turns around and comes here to attack people for doing for the very thing he promotes as Canons for making a difference.

And to add sulfur to satan, someone actually just came and coSign his wretched hypocrisy, so I need to help remind my dude about being fair like he knows how to do.

So again, look at this type of thing as evidence of why I reiterate that I am so gleeful over anyone coming here to take a positive attitude toward this Movement.

Ken,

The idea that people can be restrained from expressing themselves, however vulgarly, without a change in how we raise our children is preposterous. It doesn't matter how many people put their name on a wanted list. You can't stop negative self expression without a change in negative parenting, because negative parenting is where negative self expression comes from.

For negative rap to dissolve, all other negativity would have to dissolve with it.

Are people going to stop getting high and drunk? Are they going to stop engaging in recreational sex? Are they going to stop watching porn? Are they going to stop watching TV and dedicate that time to their children? Are they going to learn something about life and then teach it to their children? Basically, are they going to stop living phony, show-offy, gossipy, and hypocritical lives?

No... Of course not.

They cannot refrain from expressing themselves in negative action anymore than they can refrain from expressing themselves negatively in words. Thing is, people don't want a clean outer life enough to clean up their inner life to make it manifest. They think they can dictate a better life. From behind a gray cloud, they think they can demand sunshine.

Not sure who Ken is but okay...Grace.

By the way, Grace...you do realize we're discussing boycotting record companies that are airing disparaging lyrics regarding blacks.

Not once did I mention or suggest preventing anyone from, as you stated ...Grace, " getting high and drunk, having recreational sex, watching porn/tv nor spending less time with their children. These are personal liberties that are legal in most, if not all states.

If an adult choose to express themselves in that fashion then that's their decision...Grace.

However, company are in business to provide a good and/or service to the consumer in order to yield a profit. If that consume demands aren't met companies will change their protocol.

If and I do say, If the consumer's base collectively say cease with the disparaging lyrics towards blacks, then change will come.

It's about money....Grace

Right Ken, you're not sure who you are. :D

But of course you don't see changing your habits.

And think that you can dictate others to stifle themselves and pride yourself on how many sheep you can command. :D

Well self expression in lyrics is also a personal liberty. :)

Simply put,

Dirty inner world = dirty outer world.

And that's really all there is to that. :)

Which isn't rocket science. :)

You ain't talking about changing nothing on the inside? Then fine, you ain't talking about changing nothing on the outside either. :D
