Yep the vid featured at least four (4) elements of White racism's effect, upon Black people, in ways which America/Pop Culture have become accustomed to in affirming Blacks as subhuman savages.

Heil, Verizon!

I can't see the video but I think my comment/concern/observation is related.

I took my child to see the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. There is a black police officer character in the movie, as he was in the first movie. In this 2nd movie, he (and the rest if the population) is relocated from their home. He has a new job. He comes from behind the counter wearing a dress.

Why? Why? Why is it that even in a cartoon the black man's gotta be put in a dress? Emasculated? The dress had nothing to do with his new job making cupcakes except that the colors were related - his dress was pink & white. Ridiculous!

I have no doubt. But it paints black men somehow in an unfavorable light correct?

Or even if it doesn't, people go off track on threads all the time! Lol! :D

Ah. It's funny...if you don't think about stuff like:

The dog is the "human" character. Got it. The black Dad is the slobbery creature. Got that too.

They wanted the Vader, who for many whites represents a large black penis, to be a small, nonthreatening dog.

It is the same with comics, the idea of a black man being an alpha male is just too much of a concept for many accept.

No, it's not different. You remember the Dave Chappelle interview I showed with Oprah? He said the same thing as Tru, which is exactly the same concept of the Verizon Halloween commercial.
