Is KY a good gauge though? Rand Paul has been saying that most people are signing up for Medicaid. |

Well, I would hope that I'd be fair and reasonable. ![]() My way is win-win, and people won't keep going onto the site, then running back talking negatively about it's problems. |

FLORENCE, Ky. —Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear was in Boone County on Friday to announce a new German manufacturer. But the governor was also happy to talk about Kentucky’s success with the Affordable Care Act. So far, some 26,000 Kentuckians have enrolled and more than 300,000 have surfed the KYNECT site. “That’s exciting because it demonstrates to me a real eagerness on the part of Kentuckians for health care coverage,” Beshear said. The governor spoke to WLWT News 5 about the exchange after cutting a ribbon for the grand opening of Mubea’s new auto manufacturing expansion, which is expected to bring 150 new jobs to Northern Kentucky. Beshear also liked the economic impact of the new health coverage system, projecting it will have a $15 billion impact and create 17,000 new jobs over the next eight years. Beshear said he grappled with what he considered to be a legitimate question of affordability. Price Waterhouse Cooper and other financial experts were brought in to crunch the numbers, conducting an economic assessment of Medicaid expansion in the Bluegrass. “They said to me, governor, you can’t afford not to do this,” Beshear said. Kentucky has an estimated 640,000 people who are without medical insurance. Well cat, if you scratched the surface a little (which I suspect team Obama knows is unlikely), you'd find about 80% of those enrolled in Medicaid. Also as in many states, Kentucky residents are experiencing a boatload of insurance cancellations. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/10/31/in-first-month-the-vast-majority-of-obamacare-sign-ups-are-in-medicaid/ http://www.kentucky.com/2013/11/02/2908114/about-280000-kentuckians-losing.html Edited by Snidely Whiplash, Nov 8 2013, 12:20 AM.

Sometimes the apple DOES fall far from the tree.![]() It's kind of like watching a dog bite it's own tail and then growl because it's tail got bit. Edited by Affinity, Nov 9 2013, 04:55 AM.

Is it just my imagination or is the answer to the question RIGHT IN THE LINK? What else could "about-280000-kentuckians-losing" mean? Did Snidely try to trick us and post a link to an article about 280,000 Kentuckians losing THEIR MINDS? Is it a story about 280,000 Kentuckians losing their bet on the Derby? Gee willikers, I sure hope someone clicks on it and tells us what it says because the suspense of what is going on with those 280,000 Kentuckians is killing me! |
