That could be an oversimplification. The Black vote is much more unified, which is a nice way of saying it is much less diverse. Black vote: Obama 93%, Romney 6% White vote: Romney 59%, Obama 39% source |

There's never a good reason for racism - it's all ignorant, but I wonder how much racism is based on the assumption that other people are racist? I wonder how much racism is based on jealousy or greed? Poor people hating wealthy people. |

I would hope so.....being more whites than black and whites themselves are divided. Still doesnt take away the fact that whites didnt vote for Obama because he was black. |

??? Voting for or against Obama solely because of his race is racists. Do you remember his resume back in '08? A community organizer with half a term in the Senate? Perhaps a lot of racists voted that year. Edited by Affinity, Jul 4 2013, 02:31 PM.

Its obvious the divide between whites. The generations and culture....you have the whites who despise gays and blacks and just aren't up with the times. While Other whites, the younger generation mainly are accepting gays, blacks and culture and overall less racist hateful. And this isn't saying blacks aren't like that..but majority of America is white, and you have those who are still in those old ways and others not so much. This is why Mitt Romney didn't reach the younger generation...he got all the old white voters. Racism is still alive and there isn't anything we can do it about it but do for ourselves. Learn from it and become a better person. Racism has to die out...I truly believe that |

Agreed, but too many people profit from it to allow that to happen. ![]() If you could magically end racism (on all sides) AND all double standards, quota systems, affirmative action and other race-based privileges .... would you? Edited by Affinity, Jul 4 2013, 03:40 PM.

Im thinking of the drawbacks of removing racism. We all have some in us....I can admit im racist against Mexican immigrants. Because I feel its unfair americans need to speak your language so you live comfortably. But then I think that's more government |

The majority of voters who did not vote for Barack Obama WOULD have voted for Hermain Cain. I wonder how a Hillary Clinton vs Herman Cain election would have changed to black vote. |
