A lot of very bad things, the tides as mentioned, the moon stabilizes earths rotation, it takes some potential meteor hits, etc. Some life extinction would occur and all life would be drastically effected. In time there will be that reality because the moon is ever so slowly moving away from us. |

That video still shows Saturn. We wouldn't have Saturn orbiting us. We'd be orbiting it. And wit how many satellites that bitch has rolling around it besides the ringlets human the satellite known as Earth would probably be bombarded by smaller ones. If we were placed in Saturn's orbit then life as we know it wouldn't exist because we're too far back. That's why the bigger planets back there are all gas giants. And Pluto's a damn fake planet rock. If Saturn was placed were we are now then it wouldn't be a gas giant because it would have formed too close to Sol. However I do support the binary planet angle. ![]() Shitty movie. Interesting concept. Edited by n.W.o., Apr 11 2013, 10:36 AM.

Fuck TIM, I was enjoying the visions until I read your post. Damn now I have logic going through my head while I'm looking at it. I don't enjoy it so much now. Ah well. |

That's cool. And I'm not going to over-think or analyze it. Nice visual. |

I've read too many astronomy books not to automatically apply logic to it when it comes up. |

It must simply be your nature to analyze. I'm a astronomy/science fan as well, been looking at the night sky through a telescope and binoculars since before puberty, and I've taught my children via books before they could read. Still, I marvel at, and appreciate, the beauty and fantasy of it.
