Ladies If the statement isn't accurate, then please, do tell us about any time you've ever heard of in history that some person's purpose on Earth was to, be... All alone, bringing no joy to no one. Since I have never heard of such a person on Earth, in all my lifetime, then I do anxiously await your valid specimen. Edited by The SOLE Controller, Apr 9 2013, 04:08 PM.

Well, when I was coming up with reasons, why I think I'm valuable, they did include things that I'd did or was doing for others, and how it helped better their lives. So, now, I must concede ( ) that it depends on what people consider "adding value"...... It'll be different for everybody.

The only thing U Thant can do is this: He must be the arithmetic man -- He adds trouble, subtract pleasure, divide attention, and multiply ignorance. |

I am valuable just because I am here and alive, worthy of being here. My value doesn't depend on other people. I am sorry if yours does but that is a sad ass way to live life. Because the minute you.aren't deemed valuable to someone you suddenly aren't worth anything? And who is to determine what this definition of is of "value" to certain people. Ummmmm no. My worth is determined by me, not others. |

...which is why I made sure I said that everyone will have their own idea of what adding value is. |

That is not possible, and defies the laws of physics. And I'm not here to argue with you about it, unless you have proof that there is no one in your life who you make happy or who you please and, I repeat, and there is no one who brings you joy nor pleasure in any way. If that's your livelihood arrangement, then your words here are correct-----but you are not human nor mortal. Edited by The SOLE Controller, Apr 9 2013, 07:54 PM.

I don't know. If you go through your life never having touched the life of another, never adding value for being here, you might get the feeling your life didn't count for much. We all want to be remembered. |

I think worth and value are different. Everyone is worthy of being here. But if you don't have an impact, you're less than dust in the breeze. I'm not saying the statement is accurate. But it's an interesting thought. I mean, really, can anyone be alive and not impact others? I don't think it's possible, and if it were, who would decide it? And if one person was found who had not an impact on anyone, then their presence will have made an impact. So, there.
