Yes, the Republicans do a horrible job of pandering because they don't see skin color. They see problems, not "black problems". Black poverty isn't different than white poverty. Black single mother families aren't different that white single mother problems. Republicans would like to help everyone regardless of something so retardedly insignificant as skin color. |

I'm not sure how that makes it different, but regardless, WHY is the black unemployment rate double the white rate? Perhaps if over 90% weren't adherent followers of the Democratic Party like this person. Read the signature. It is very applicable to this thread. |

If AA actually split their vote you have a better chance moving your agenda ahead instead of rowing the same boat going nowhere. |

What do Republicans offer for their half of the vote? |

They offer you seeing yourself successful via your own works not someone else's opinion of how you get there! I'd rather be among those who say I can make it than those who insist on telling me I can't make it unless I vote them in office. Liars are among both parties but the truth is only in you. |

This part I agree with. The truth is if the republicans offered anything blacks wanted they'd get more votes from them. Perhaps as a party they need to look at that |

That's not totally true for all Republicans though. I support the ideas that the party is supposed to stand for. I've noticed the way some talk and their body language, when addressing social issues. People will never be able to hear their message because of the delivery and the person doing the delivering. Republicans with old ideas and old thinking will have to die or be voted out because black people will even think about coming back to the party. It's a trust thing. |

Check the thousands of racial-discrimination complaints at America's hundreds of EEOC offices...you'll get your answer |

And what the pro republicans on this site don't get is this A democrat integrated the military A democrat ended segregation in federal employment A democrat signed the civil rights bill ending legal segregation Those were three huge events that affected almost every black American in this coountry at the time. So it's disengenious at best for people like Affinity to claim republicans don't get black votes because they don't pander to blacks. How could you possibly consider those three democratic accomplishments pandering? Many people both black and white vote similar to their families. If you were black and lived through those periods of times when those events happened, who are you telling your descendents to vote for? |
