Her age-group's Speed racing starts next month too, so I reminded her to tell her telephone-buddies that she's on training status, starting next week

Glad to see the recognition of The Meters here. I mentioned them a few months back as some of them did the session work on Labelle's Nightbirds album. That album is known for the "timeless" song Lady Marmalade as well as my favorite off that album, What Can I Do For You.

If you've listened to this particular work as much as I have, you appreciate how well they complimented the singing style of Labelle.
