University Of Missouri To Observe Pagan, Wiccan Holidays

The University of Missouri is now observing Pagan and Wiccan holidays.

The school’s recently-published “Guide to Religions: Major Holidays and Suggested Accommodations” lists eight Pagan and Wiccan holidays next to such widely-observed dates as Christmas, Hanukah, and Thanksgiving. According to The College Fix, the guide asks professors to avoid scheduling exams or projects around these dates.

The “Guide to Religions” describes itself as an “educational tool” that can be used by faculty and students to learn about the various holidays observed around campus.

The university explains:

“Not only does this section offer crucial information about dates and practices, we also hope that the information about recommended academic and food accommodations will be valuable to those planning classroom activities and other academic and co-curricular events.”

University of Missouri officials said they are simply trying to include the beliefs of everyone who has chosen to study at the school. However, the updated list isn’t without its detractors.

Radio talk show host Tammy Edwards told Fox News that she believes the observation of Pagan and Wiccan holidays simply gives people an excuse to skip out on their responsibilities and obligations.

She explained:

“It almost seems as though we’re looking for excuses for people to not have to take their commitments seriously. It’s beyond political correctness; it’s almost like an excuse to do nothing. It’s like societal nihilism, where nothing matters.”

Pagan and Wiccan holidays listed in the university’s guide include the equinoxes, Feast of Pan, and the Lammas harvest celebration. The guide describes the Wiccan New Year — also known as Halloween — as “a time to celebrate the lives of those who have passed on, welcome those born during the past year into the community, and reflecting on past relationships, events and other significant changes in life.”

Do you think the University of Missouri should observe Pagan and Wiccan holidays?

Witches Prayers And Beliefs

Wicca is actually Satanism. They Also observe the Order Of The Silver Serpent.

For most Satanists, especially those who worship through Theistic Satanism a grimoire is one of the most important things a Satanist has as it contains all the prayers, rituals, invocations, and most of all personal notes on their journey with Satan and all he and the infernal ones have given and shared with you. It is very important that you keep notes and other important works from your journey.

It is also important that you try creating your own rituals, invocations, incantations, prayers etc... instead of depending on the works created by others, the works of others will not always work to the fullest with everyone, you must remember the most powerful and effective workings are those that you create from the heart. Writing a grimoire is not just something to keep notes that you can one day look back upon and see how far your journey has come, it shows commitment and dedication which are two key elements that connects the Satanists with Lord Satan and the infernal demons.

I cannot stress how important it is that you write "your own" works, "your own" journey on the Left Hand Path, instead of what has been written by other Satanists, it's why I write this so many times on the site, says one High Priestess.. You might think "well wouldn't Satan teach every Satanist the same things?" Satan will teach different things to different Satanists, when he teaches more than one Satanist the same thing he will word his teaching differently for each Satanist.

Grimoire Definition: Within Wicca, it is known as "The Book of Shadows", the word grimoire literally means "Book of Magick", as in a medieval manuscript describing arcane rituals, conjurations and the summoning of demons.

And

Every Satanist should keep a grimoire which is a book containing all the works and lessons they have learned throughout their journey, each Satanist should live by their own grimoire and theirs alone.

So maybe it is true to call so many people who post here Satanists, because this shows that many are, even those who did not realise it.

Also interesting, Aleister Crowley was a Satanist too, for those who say otherwise:

Many past Satanists had actually written banishings and other rituals that "call upon Jehovah" to see that a demon returns to Hell after their desires are met, Aleister Crowley WAS one of these Satanists, throughout time Satan has changed, because such banishings and rituals show Satan that the Satanist does not trust Satan, but actually fears him.

Missouri Democrats propose forcing some gun owners to destroy, surrender weapons

Missouri Democrats are trying to rid the state of assault weapons and high-capacity gun magazines.

Democrats in the state House have proposed a bill that would force gun owners to either surrender or destroy weapons including semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines and semi-automatic pistols with a fixed magazine that can shoot more than 10 rounds before being reloaded.

Ammunition-feeding devices that can hold more than 10 rounds also would be banned. Owners also could send their weapons to another state instead of surrendering or destroying them and would have 90 days after the bill’s passage to make a decision.

However, the measure, backed by St. Louis-area lawmakers, is not expected to pass in the Republican-controlled House.

“The only way this bill will pass is if a hammer and sickle is sewn onto Old Glory,” tweeted state Rep. Caleb Jones, a Republican.

One of the bill’s sponsors, state Rep. Rory Ellinger, said last week he is a “realist” about the bill’s chances of passage but is serious about “some kind of control of weaponry.”

The proposal was made following the Dec. 14, 2012, fatal shootings of 20 first-graders and six adults in a Newtown, Conn., elementary school. It also follows President Obama and fellow Democrats in the Senate trying to tighten gun laws, including universal background checks and bans similar to those posed by the Missouri Democrats.

The Missouri measure also would make manufacturing and importing such weapons a felony.

Ellinger said his measure focuses on only “military-style” weapons and doesn’t include handguns or hunting rifles, with Missouri being a largely conservative state.

Another Democrat-sponsored bill proposed this year in the state General Assembly would require parents to notify their child’s school if they own a firearm.
