The best thing about the Obama win has been the self destruction of the Republican party. They are falling apart and infighting like children. No more Todd Akins. No more Richard Mourdocks. No more crazy nutters in Republican primaries that produce divisive, gaffe-spewing GOP candidates. Thats the aim of a new super-PAC, the Conservative Victory Fund, spearheaded by Karl Rove. Font get too excited though because Former Rep. Joe Walsh a crazed wackadoo lunatic(R-Ill.), Tea Party favorite who lost reelection in 2012 to Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), is launching a super PAC to fight efforts by establishment Republicans to block ultra-conservatives like himself from winning primary elections. Walsh announced his latest effort on Tuesday via Twitter. "I'm filing the paperwork to form a super PAC to support freedom-loving conservative alternatives to @KarlRove on FOX," he wrote. The reference to Rove involves the former George W. Bush strategist's newest political venture, a super PAC to act as a counterweight to more conservative groups like the Club for Growth and FreedomWorks by supporting establishment Republicans in primaries. The latter organizations have supported intraparty challenges to Republican senators and congressmen that some at the top of the GOP believe cost them control of the Senate in the past two election cycles. |

The GOP has decided to implode and destruct from within. It is every man for himself. Eric Cantor has lined up a big speech this afternoon to try and portray the Republican party as being kind and caring and to rebuild its battered image. You can put lipstick on a washed up pig and it is still a pig. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/02/05/bruised-from-battling-obama-eric-cantor-softens-his-tone-in-domestic-policy-speech.html |

Let's not suddenly get blind. While the Reps may finally be showing the infighting they have kept secret the past 2 or so years, the Dems have constantly been infighting as well. In fact, it's impossible for political parties not to get their infight on. A political party holds a plethora of ideas. It's not a group mind link were everyone is 100% on board with everyone else. It's not 1939. Neither one is the Nazi Party though the Republicans are starting to worry me. |

The Dems still remain a united party when it comes to voting and there have been no major splits in the past few years. The Democrats have not allowed an extremist, bigoted wing to take over the party. David Plouffe puts it so well. The former top Obama aide and strategist weighs in on GOP infighting sparked by a new push to recruit more electable candidates on twitter: "Grab the popcorn, pop a beer, sit back and enjoy this goat rodeo. In that case the Reps are still a united party wen it comes to voting. And don't kid yourself about extremist and bigots not being in the Dems. Your problem is you don't seem to understand what an extremist is. You are an extremist. Extremists like yourself you probably don't call extremist. You call them normal. But they and you are still extremists and they're all over the place. And, please stop telling me who else said it best or what some other Democrat extremists wrote. You and I are talking about this. I'm not typing to Spike Lee. I'm not typing to whoever the hell David Plouffe is. So I don't expect Spike or Davey to answer me. Edited by n.W.o., Feb 7 2013, 09:37 AM.

Karl Roves attempt to reboot, rebrand and restructure the Republican party is going from bad to worse. He is upsetting and angering those on the far right and those more moderate Republicans. Republican infighting is getting serious and Rove is now being compared to Hitler, something they usually reserve for Obama. A tea party group portrayed leading Republican strategist Karl Rove as a Nazi in an email it sent Tuesday -- and later had to apologize for it, blaming a contractor. The Tea Party Patriots, a well-established group within the right-wing movement, sent out the message featuring a Photoshopped image of Karl Rove in a Nazi uniform, Politico reported. The email's subject read: "Wipe the Smirk Off Karl Rove’s Face." The email was sent under the name of Tea Party Patriots co-founder and national coordinator Jenny Beth Martin in a fundraising solicitation. But Jameson Cunningham, a spokesperson for the group, said it was an unfortunate accident. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/19/karl-rove-nazi-image-_n_2718349.html Rove also took heat from former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who had jabbed Rove's American Crossroads super PAC as a vehicle for "cronyism" and questioned its effectiveness after failing to produce in the 2012 elections. Rove admitted that that many conservative organizations were "run by consultants who are more concerned with their fees". Rove seems like the only rat on a sinking GOP ship. |
