ITS BOTH SAD AND PATHETIC THAT republicans have to go back to the 50s for democrat racists yet I could post racist comments from current republicans everyday in 2013. Yet they never have anything to say about that. You are old enough to know this FACT UTB-In the late 1970s, George Wallace announced that he was a born-again Christian and apologized to black civil rights leaders for his past actions as a segregationist. He said that while he had once sought power and glory, he realized he needed to seek love and forgiveness. In 1979, Wallace said of his stand in the schoolhouse door: "I was wrong. Those days are over, and they ought to be over Edited by Mal, Feb 5 2013, 02:48 PM.

And has YOU, a confirmed democRAT, prospered from integration, if so, tell me. Where are the Black stores that once flourished during segregation? Where are the Black schools that turned out so many Blacks ready to take the world on during segregation? When I grew up during segregation, I certainly didn't put ,myself beneath Whites! |

Mal, like UTB, I don't really trust your links either. Both of you are extremes of each other therefore any links you provide will be extreme and extremely biased. You said you can start a watch on it. You already have. There are over 330 million Americans and at least 100 million are Republican. It looks like you have 10 links there. I'm sure they talk about one person each with maybe a couple being 2 or more. We'll say 15 people. 15 people does not = a group of 100 million. You find racism from every single Republicans for two reasons. You want to see it and you view everything anyone does or says as racist. Period. |

Yes, about that... Alabama's views in regards to race relation haven't changed much if at all. Alabama's flag is basically a Confederate flag except dumbed down so they won't get in much trouble for it. Like most Southern states Alabama loved it's slaves, hated it's niggers, joined the Confederacy, and were strict Democrats. In other words, it was one of the Solid South states. They stayed 100% Democrat until 1994 when they realized that the Democrats had far too many Negroes running around. Currently, in 2013, about 95% of all seats are held by Republicans. What happened? Did Alabama do a complete 180? Or is Alabama the same Solid South state it's always been for the past 150 plus years and did what ever other state did around that time, switch from Democrats to a party that aligned more with it's anti-Black values, the Republicans. I vote latter. Just ask Texas and Louisiana... Edited by n.W.o., Feb 6 2013, 10:14 AM.
