These 2 guys tried to rob an internet cafe but there was a person in there with a gun, and he started shooting at them. Edited by Chicago, Jan 28 2013, 10:36 PM.

This is absolutely not what you want to hear from a person, any person, with a firearm. These scenarios prove my point. 1. She pulled out a gun and started shooting. Worst case scenario? Lucky it was a 9mm so no semi-auto but if you just start shooting in a general direction it's your hope that you try your best to hit what you are aiming for less stray bullets cause you a life time of guilt and regret. 2. There is no such thing as fucking "hope" when it comes to shooting your damn firearm. You either knowingly hit your target because he or she is in sight and you've taken classes or been to the damn firing range or you fire blindly into a crowd and pray to a God who allows miscarriages, stillborn children, and 9 year old's to be shot in the head and killed by, ironically, stray bullets from people who "hope" they hit the right target. However, a lesser issue, an issue most civilians wouldn't even think about anyway, is due force. If the person robbing her had a gun himself then by all means gramma, take yours out and start shooting. At him. Or her. But if a person robs me and then takes off due force dictates I don't shoot him or her in the back. Unnecessary force. Hell, I think even in civy world if a guy just robbed you and ran off and you shoot him in the back you're still liable to be taken to court for it. |

Yea once a person is out of your house and gone, in some states if you chase them down and shoot them we are no longer in the self defense bracket. Also...the problem i have with vigilantes is they just have a gun. They dont have the training and under a stressfuk situation they may just end up blasting an civilian. There was a shooting at a mall, a boyfriend trying to shoot his girlfriend. Some city super hero heard it at the gas station and ran with his pistol to save day. But there was already another super hero who saved the day. Super hero 1 just walks up gun aimed and was about to fire on super hero 2. He "hoped" that was the right gunman. Luckily he was told not to shoot. But he told police had he not been told to, he was going to shoot the wrong guy. So i dont think i wanna be in a movie theater with a bunch gun totting morons shooting hope. |

When the criminals start shooting those bullets are going to be stray. Are you saying that people shouldn't have anything in their homes to protect themselves? |

Are you saying its ok to shoot "hope" bullets in a crowd to hit the shooter? Do you feel gun owners are required to take regular training classes? |
