People are looking for somebody to tell them what they want to hear. They are looking for somebody to promise them the world and if they have a nice looking picture in their profile to go with it that will do it. |

I would hope that others learn from what is happening right in front of them....after all it's real life. |

To be honest I don't think it'll change people who have this kind of behavior online. I mean keeping it real, if you and this online person are really into each other why would there be any delay in meeting. That just throws up a red flag to me. Most women I've met initially online, I've met in person within 2 weeks even if it's just coffee. If two people are really into each other, there's no reason to go months chatting online |

You're so right....that was the first humongous red flag that went up.....the next one was why would a pretty little thing like that be looking for "love" from a web-site. I just about cried when she said she loved him and had not even met him. I had already determined he was hiding something.....and we found out what that was....so sad for her. Hopefully if no one else learns she will. |

People really need to think twice before they date somebody online. There are a lot of fake people out there who are not who they pretend to be. Notre Dame star football player Manti Te'o got tricked by somebody that he thought that he was in an online relationship with. He thought that he was dating this woman online and then he got word that she died a few hours after his grandmother died. He was on national television crying and broken hearted, but the woman that he thought that he was dating online turned out to be a hoax. |
