BR is pretending again that the Republican mindset is hard work, standing on your own two feet and pulling yourself up by your boot straps. Why is it that Republican states are the poorest states in the union. Mississippi is the poorest... followed by Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama and North Carolina. Why do so many poor white people vote against their own self interests? It's borne out in the fact that the reddest of states, Republican states especially in the south, are predictably republican in spite of the fact that they are also the poorest economically and also are on the receiving end of the most government benefits.Republicans have kept their populations basically poor and ignorant for nearly three generations since they used the Southern strategy to get racist white votes. |

I don't know if any of this is true but two big groups of the Republican Party are poor Whites who need someone else to blame and very rich Whites. One of those groups can't afford shit and the other definitely isn't giving any handouts to help with anything or anybody but themselves. Just ask Ann Coulter. Most conservatives do not want to give anyone shit because they feel they made the money by themselves so it's theirs. That includes giving to their own state. Not saying they are wrong or right. Just asking what the hell else would you expect? |

The GOP has become a party of poor whites that vote for them in the former confederate states but they get nothing from the GOP who only look out for the rich. |

Why do you guys always pretend to be none political and anti-gov't, but are constantly posting about Barack and Dems; whilst bumping/creating right-wing themed topics almost daily? Why is that? Edited by TommyT, Dec 21 2012, 10:22 PM.

It don't really have anything to do with a political party because all of it is the same. You take all the shrinking cities for instance, major cities in the US and all over the world are shrinking because the political system cannot sustain itself on the weaknesses of the masses and not result in the shrinkage of that region. So when the employment structure collapses, the people migrate elsewhere. And these cities become ghost towns. Such as Buffalo New York for one example. People are leaving Buffalo in hordes, so you can a buy a house there now for about 25k, but nobody is going to live there for free. Edited by cisslybee2012, Dec 22 2012, 10:42 PM.
