Hint, the rich is not going to give away money for nothing, without getting a return on their "investment"!

LOOKS TO ME, LIKE "MAL'S" HERO IS SELLING OUT TO THE RICH WHITE MEN! :D :D :D CAN YOU SAY THE WORD "SELLOUT"? B-) B-) B-)

President Barack Obama is reportedly considering the use of the corporate cash to help pay for inauguration. The thinking is, after a long and very expensive presidential campaign, donors might be too spent to pick up the tab.

"President Barack Obama's fundraising advisers have urged the White House to accept corporate donations for his January 2013 inaugural celebration rather than rely exclusively on weary donors who underwrote his $1 billion re-election effort. People involved in his re-election campaign said White House staff and campaign advisers have been debating whether to accept corporate money to stage the events but haven't made a final decision," the Wall Street Journal reports.

The use of corporate cash would finalize Obama's shift away from his official 2008 position on corporations and political cash. "Four years ago Mr. Obama barred corporations from donating to his inauguration, a gesture meant to show that well-heeled interests wouldn't have undue influence in his administration," reports the Journal.

But with the conclusion of Obama's last political election ever, there is less reason than ever before for pretense. And that's proven by the fact that these discussions to allow corporate cash are even taking place by people close to Obama.

Why the hell does this thread look like Barney shat out some fucking fruity pebbles? Why in the hell does UTB's post look like I'm back in the 80's being bombarded by Rainbow Brite commercials?

If corporations want to give money to fund the Obama inauguration, then let them. Obama is their president to.

It's the same for people who want to donate money for the inauguration, let them. If I get an e-mail asking for a donation, I will happily give it.

FOUR MORE YEARS.......OBAMA-2012

Hummmmm, with the "far left" like "MAL", that hates the rich, surely they wouldn't want the "wicked rich" to support President Obama! That would be contradictory! :D I say, let the people that voted for him donate. Naaaaaw, that wouldn't work very well, especially among Blacks. Blacks as a rule will vote democratic, and after they vote, they're through with politics period! Let the local politicians run for office, and most Blacks won't contribute a dime! B-)

Why not let them donate, he doesn't owe them anything plus it's not like he's gonna hold a gun on them and make them give him some money. They're the reason the last 4 years has bumped along at a snails pace, (not all but enough). Or the alternative, skip the damn pomp and circumstance and get on with the business at hand.

I agree... And I'm sure the corporations are ready to kiss Obama's ass now. Just like Mitt Romney and the Rethuglicans, they were SHOCKED ASS HELL that the people voted Obama back into office despite all the billions of dollars they spent trying to defeat him.

I believe corporations were behind the slow recovery of the economy to hurt the Democrats. They can't afford to play this game for 4 more years.
