The White House announced today that the federal government will spend $6 billion over four years for a “sustainable energy future” plan with two Asian countries. “Recognizing that energy and the environment are among the most pressing issues confronting our region, President Obama, in partnership with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei and President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, today proposed the U.S.-Asia Pacific Comprehensive Partnership for a Sustainable Energy Future,” the White House announced Tuesday as Obama visits Asian Pacific countries. The initiative comes after the Obama administration has been criticized for spending billions to subsidize U.S.-based green energy companies that went on to declare bankruptcy, including Solyndra, Ener1, A123, Beacon Power and other failed renewable energy ventures. |

So, let me get this straight. Obama was criticized because he gave billions to subsidize US green energy companies here in the US, and then they went bankrupt. So, now he is giving $6 Billion to the Sultan of Brunei and the Indonesian President. Hmm...... (still wish the money could somehow stay in US) Edited by Brodanny, Nov 21 2012, 12:58 AM.

Let's get the story straight. The WH didn't give anybody shit. Congress has to approve every major expenditure. Remember if we ,The USA doesn't have the funds they won't get anything either which is closer to the truth than handing over that kind of money. |

You're right, The White House did not do that. They did something far, far worse by presenting Congress with that proposal, to approve. So when he's out creating more ventures like this just to piss off China, Then let's try not to blame it on Congress:
Nor, this:

But, you have to admit there is a return investment clause attached...so it's not like they are just handing over 6BL for them to disperse however. And the entire project will be monitored.....that's a first. My comment was not to lay blame on anyone merely stated Congress has to approve . |

I am sure I read up there, funds which Congress will have no say-so over Obama disbursing them to those nation... Plus My comment was merely about Obama sought this out Obama desired this Obama wanted this, for Congress to approve, whichever part that they needed to approved...if any at all all while the Black ghettos still suffer and get nothing in the way of Obama...that's my problem, from '09 - '12, and it looks like there's more to come. And what's the return investment? I missed that part. Is it China-related????? |

Is not the ghetto the blacks fault. I sort-a remember all of those new housing developments the gov built which the blacks turned around and turned them into 15 story Jack City dwellings. And what's the return investment? I missed that part. Go back and read the article. What do you want him to do a repeat of yesteryear. Tear the old ones down put up more new ones and sit back and wait for it to self implode? If the people who find it necessary to live within those accommodations why do they resort to destroying it? That kind of attitude/behavior tells me they don't want anything but a rat-hole so they will have something to complain about. If I had to live like that I would work 4 jobs to get away, but most of them seem to want to stay until they are run out. So it appears to me the suffering you mentioned is self inflicted in many cases. |
