As I said, if I was laid off, I have enough revenue set aside to last me a full year minimum. I could still maintain my normal lifestyle. My personal savings exceeds $90K. My personal savings shall exceed $100K next year. If I can do that, how could Chad miss even one month in child support? And if Chad was in danger of such dire straights, I would assume he could have petitioned the court to reevaluate the terms of his child support. He could have, for all I know. Also, I want to reemphasize that I am not just looking at Chad with a raised eyebrow. I am also looking at the mothers of his children. I already said that the shelf life of an exceptional, relatively injury-free athlete is about 10 years. After that, one hopes that they land a job as part of a coaching staff or as a sports commentator. So many athletes make poor decisions with the millions the earn during their career, and end up broke. I always thought with his natural charisma, Chad would have found ways to stay relevant. Now, he is just known for potentially ruining his future by head-butting a chick that was married to Antoine Walker (yuck). It is up to those women to save, and wisely invest the child support they receive. One thing I am not certain is how the women are spending the money. It makes no sense that they could run out of money so easily. In a nutshell, I have zero empathy for Chad & the women. I only feel bad for the kids. |

Totally agree. So you live a 100K lifestyle, for sure you could survive off of less? |

SUA, The reason I was able to save so much is because I actually do live a frugal lifestyle. The quickest way to get rich is to not live like your are rich. Just because you are making good money, it does not mean you need to spend it all. My monthly expenses are rather simple. I will only splurge every now & again. These bozos live like their is no tomorrow, and ten years later, they are crying broke. The other sin they commit is that they leave their finances in the hands of some crooked accountant. They are too lazy to even review their monthly expenses. And worse, the women collecting child-support spend just as foolishly. I don't know if it is legal, but I do think that the courts should have a look at how the child-support is being spent. |

No doubt Sam, I already know this. But you said you could live for a year, I was just saying most could live for more than a year off of 100K. |

U Cant; if he has a net worth of 15ML, then he doesn't need a reprieve from paying child support. Looks like he better start converting some of his assets to cash....that is if he has 15ML, the Judge will probably order it anyway so what is he dragging his feet for. He had fun getting the baby's let him pay for them..... they ( the baby) did tell anybody to create them. |

And I read that he earned over his career 46-47 million. Where is all that at? |

Yeah, I left myself room to prepare for any surprises. The biggest expenditure I had this year was paying off the remaining balance of Mother Wilson's medical expenses (from the time she was sick a few months back) that her coverage would not pay for. |

sam, SUA... All of that In your last posts, is fine and good, so please enjoy doing you by all means...as I never questioned that nor would I ever do that. My point was about us irresponsibly-gauging Chad, is all. And since no matter how much child-support he seeks a payment-decrease for...his net worth is Still going to be $15-million. So it is what it is, and I hope I ruffled no feathers here. Edited by The SOLE Controller, Nov 26 2012, 02:19 PM.
