As you can see, at the link...these were the first words out of his mouth. Yep. That's how bad he wanted to let you misguided & miscalculating folk's see, that yes, it is indeed his responsibility to put Black people back to work. So, stop blaming Black people for believing a Black President!! Edited by The SOLE Controller, Nov 15 2012, 06:33 AM.

Interesting how you managed to interpret this article as being his responsibility to create jobs. The part you and so many others seem to leave out constantly is he can merely assist in creating jobs by various means. |

He can assist, sure...but when you get into passing out trillions of dollars in stimulus & bail-outs, then...that is called Obama made it 'his responsibility' to create jobs, yep, it's called making it his 'duty' to create jobs. And that is what he's said, in many ways, and Romney ran on that same ticket. Now you're going to come to your senses, and get behind Obama's promise to create jobs...or you're going to keep getting mad at me and living in denial about a President's responsibility. |

It's part of the Presidents responsibility to save as many jobs as possible and that's what he did with the bail outs and stimulus bill. Millions of people kept their jobs and some jobs were created. Now if YOU and the other haters allow President Obama to implement HIS POLICIES, then I'm sure you will see more job creation. Edited by Whozthatgurl, Nov 15 2012, 12:44 PM.

Read more carefully, as My point here about jobs, is EXACTLY what you just affirmed... I'm trying to point out to others that I didn't make this stuff up, it's both Romney & Obama's words. And remember also that just bcuz you like how his policies put Blackfolk, on the back burner, doesn't mean I'm a hater. Your anti-Equality words here are exactly why folk's like you & Mal, are the exact Obama-supporters who She described here: Edited by The SOLE Controller, Nov 15 2012, 01:07 PM.

Jesus...what exactly do you think your president is responsible for or should do? Or is it just about seeing Michelle in the White House, date nights with the wife in Aspen, Leno interviews, and photo ops with bankers he golfs with? Edited by Snidely Whiplash, Nov 15 2012, 05:27 PM.

Obama tells labor he's committed to 'protecting' middle class on taxes By Adam Aigner-Treworgy, CNN Washington (CNN) -- President Barack Obama on Tuesday delivered a "strong" and "determined" defense of his intent to allow Bush-era tax cuts for wealthier Americans to expire while preserving cuts for middle-income earners, according to conversations with several people who attended a meeting between the president and labor and progressive leaders. The meeting at the White House -- along with a second unannounced meeting with representatives from roughly a dozen groups focused on women's issues -- was the start of a lengthy process of negotiating a resolution to the nation's impending budget crisis. Obama is scheduled to meet with business leaders on Wednesday and congressional leaders from both parties on Friday. Lasting roughly an hour, the meeting included representatives from four of the nation's largest labor unions as well as the heads of six independent groups involved in organizing grassroots support for progressive causes. "The president was very strong on saying there's going to be an end to the Bush tax cuts one way or another," said one participant who requested anonymity to discuss the off-the-record meeting. After disappointing many in the progressive community by failing to keep his promise to let the upper-income tax cuts expire during previous negotiations with Congress, the president seemed to convince many in Tuesday's meeting that this time would be different. "I think that the president is going to play a real leadership role in this in finding a solution," said National Education Association president Dennis Van Roekel. "I don't think President Obama is acting any different. I think he's in a very different place with those who oppose him. They don't have any leverage over him anymore." One participant in Tuesday's meeting who was also involved in last summer's debt ceiling negotiations agreed, "The leverage is all on our side now. I don't know why anyone watching this would think the president should negotiate at all [on tax cuts]." Another participant described the president as "locked and loaded in making sure this is a fair deal." AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka said that his organization and the others present on Tuesday plan to help the president keep his promise. "The president led with that notion of protecting the middle class," Trumka told reporters following the meeting, noting that Republicans have it in their power to negotiate a compromise that "protects" the middle class. "Are we going to push them on that? Without a doubt we're going to push them on that." |
