The crime bill created 9.7 billion dollars to build prisons. 2. The crime bill said that people in prison are not allowed to get an education (it prevented people in prison from getting a high school diploma or a college degree) 3. It created the 3 strike law, which sent a lot of black people to prison for life. Democrat Bill Clinton sign this into law in 1994. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violent_Crime_Control_and_Law_Enforcement_Act Why wouldn't we know that? Perhaps some are not aware of who INTRODUCED the bill but what difference does it make? Black Congresspersons aren't placed on Committees like that for obvious reasons. So what's the beef about this time?
