Disco, there is no other music

Brazil had all the elements that laid the foundation for disco as we know it. It was recorded by the Ritchie Family in 1975.

While it is in my top 10 disco songs, these guys rate it as #1.

Swearin' To God by Frankie Vallie is a "disco" song I was on the fence about. I really wasn't sure it was disco. At many disco sites though the members say it's disco, and I have a disco compilation cd which has it on it. I suppose it is. It does have the requisite break and the 4/4 rhythm, hallmarks of traditional disco.

Frankie was one of the many artist who made the transition from a previous generation's music to disco. That's a good thing :D

Anyway, I like the song a lot.

I am though I like a little bit of everything. I joke with a friend that disco didn't die - it become house music.
