In a country were people are as rich as some of the elite are like ours there will be poor people. Period. It's a check and balances system. Either you put measures in place that remotely try to lift the poor up and push specific rich people down like the Democrats or you pick the Republicans who want to take away those measures allow you to possibly be rich as you want to but it has to be offset by the fact there will be people so damn poor they'll live in slums even roaches are too uppity to touch. It's a pendulum swing. If it swings one way it has to swing back the other. Without the poor there wouldn't be any rich and politicians understand that. And so do I.

The republicans never gave a fuck about the poor. The dems don't want "those" people anymore. They don't have any money and I guess their vote is inconsequential to dems now. Remember it was obama and the dems who tossed Acorn under the bus.
It's not about poverty. It's about unawareness. Unawareness has it's merits and casualties.
Well in a real world immediate sense, it is about poverty. Once you've addressed your immediate need for food and shelter, one can move to other issues like awareness.
You cannot move to awareness at your leisure. If you are unaware poor, you will remain unaware rich. Our growth does not depend on money. Awareness in fact, Can take care of the money problems. Because poverty is just one of the many adverse effects rendered by unawareness. Can you at least agree that if you're looking at an oncoming storm, your first priority is not awareness of how you're homeless but where to immediately get shelter?
Can you at least agree that if you're hungry, before any reasonable thought about awareness can be given, you first satisfy your hunger?

The pendulum swing is not how we're supposed to be living.
It's not what we're sent here to get comfortable with.
The pendulum swing we're supposed to be aware of, not getting the shit knocked out of us by it as a daily living standard.
It's very difficult for the people to understand the obligation they have to themselves to reach for their inner Star, because they're mind is bent on being served. They're not looking at the big picture and how they fit into it.
So there's nothing they're willing to do but get the shit knocked out of them by the pendulum day after day. It's somebody else has to rescue them or not at all. Those are their own terms they stand strong in defense on. It's kiss my ass or else.

And you defend your stance on it.
And you're entitled to that.

Not my current place in life to tell anyone else whether they should accept this truth or not.
