To be fair neither party cares about the poor. Hell, there's not a single official party out there that cares about the poor. And they never will.

The poor need to start caring for themselves.

Caring for yourself only goes so far when you're poor. But my post wasn't about whether either or even you should give two shits about the poor. My post was answering the thread's question with truth. The reality is everyone should be worrying about themselves. However, it's hard to care only about yourself when there's various things we do in life that make us care for others. For instance, parents, siblings, children, outside family members, our job, the boss, other employees, if you're self employed you're going to care about how many people are buying your shit, the doctor has to do a check up, the dentist is working on your teeth, the stock person puts shit on the shelves, a cashier charges you, and the bagger puts your stuff in a bag.

I could go on but the bottom line is even people who steady claim that everyone should and they themselves only care about themselves must purposely refuse to see the other things in their live were they care for others and others care for them.

I didn't say people should only care for themselves.

I said they need to care about themselves.

There's a difference.

God Son

A lot of politicans don't have God in their lives and that's why they never mention the poor, most politicians are rich.

If that's the case then the Republicans are lying their asses off every time they claim that God speaks to them in the form of Ronald Reagan. Ronald 666 Reagan.

The republicans never gave a fuck about the poor. The dems don't want "those" people anymore. They don't have any money and I guess their vote is inconsequential to dems now. Remember it was obama and the dems who tossed Acorn under the bus.
It's not about poverty.

It's about unawareness.

Unawareness has it's merits and casualties.
Well in a real world immediate sense, it is about poverty. Once you've addressed your immediate need for food and shelter, one can move to other issues like awareness.

You cannot move to awareness at your leisure.

If you are unaware poor, you will remain unaware rich.

Our growth does not depend on money.

Awareness in fact,

Can take care of the money problems.

Because poverty is just one of the many adverse effects rendered by unawareness.
