I think some people do things because they want to be hated.
Want to be hated? I have never considered that.

Want to be control others, power hungry, evil. Yes, I think so.

I think it may stem from child-hood attention deficiency. I've worked with children who didn't get attention until they acted up, made their parents upset at them. Sadly, since it was the only way to get their parents or parent's attention that is how they learned to get attention. At home they do shit to cause their parents to yell at them for that attention. In school they act up, sometimes being class clowns, other times going more destructive to get attention from students and teachers. They grow up into adults who feel the best way to get anyone's attention on them is to piss everyone off they possibly can.

There is a thin love between love and hate. Some people may not care which one they receive as long as they receive one of them and for those who have only known hate I suppose they view it as good as anything else.

It's a family issue. It doesn't matter if it is wrong or not. If the son wants to take it court, then he has every right to do so.

Personally, he shouldn't have to marry anyone. If my family told me that if I didn't marry a Black woman who was hood, afrocentric, and ghetto, that I would be out of the will, then I would tell my family I didn't want the money.

That's true. I work with kids like this. (I use a technique which helps stop the chemical reaction which occurs because their brains have become "hooked" let's say, on the chemicals released when they get this type of attention from that adrenalin-ridden behavior.)

But they don't want to be hated. Though they do feed off of the attention though, as you state.

He can't do much to fight it. It's not illegal to discriminate against your family member because of their sexual preferences.

People are always trying to FORCE someone to be someone that they aren't.

True.

Emotional vampires, leeches, trying to bully people into being what they think they should be....
