Charlie Parker, hands down
I started to post "Bird" but I thought most of the people here, wouldn't have a clue as to who he was!
A local tv station ran his movie last night.
One on my favorite pieces is "Slow Boat To China".

I seriously most of the people that I posted, the readers don't have a clue.

I'm just trying to keep it light for a change, all of this bullshit about "polly-ticks" gets boring after awhile.

Coltrane?

as my grand dad used to say... that sheet -wall of sound can get on your nerves , `drop the turntable pin first , middle part and ending of track, he still got his mouth blowing shit"..... though he sounded very spiritual on his last label@ prestige he can get boring too

miles loved him in his band.. but sometimes he goes `take that shit{sax} away from your mouth" once awhile
