Here is what appears to be a learner's guide to our budge spending. This is from a Wikipedia page.

Welfare programs get attacked the most even though it's the minority of our budget. Why? People who feel like they have no control of their lives or mounting problems will always attack the weakest thing first.

Government pensions are outrageous. I'm saying this and I'm actually part of it. When a enlisted person retires from the military, 20 years only, they get paid for life along with other benefits. When an officer resigns from the military, even if they've only been in 2 years, they get paid for life as well. The higher the rank the more pay for life. In regards to my own pension, I think I deserve it but I bet they all do so an opinion is only an opinion. I am disabled therefore I get disability pay for life. It goes up depending on how many dependents I claim until like 5 or something. But that's just military. Other government jobs receive shit as well. Presidents and politicians? I don't know what their retirement plans are and I don't think I want to know.

There was a reason why the Democrats tried to reform Healthcare no matter what your idea is on the Healthcare reform. It was horrible. Not the care but the money funneled to politicians and other rich folks with their hands in it. And we already talked a little about Defense siphoning. I don't know what Other is but I'm pretty damn positive shit is being made up just so rich politicians can exploit us.

Bottom line, there is no part of government spending that isn't being corrupted by a Republican, Democrat, or groups of them. People claim we should stop this or completely cut out that but it's all bullshit. The nature of corruption is the problem, not the programs. You cut Welfare because you don't want to pay for poor people to eat rice and beans? Fine. But don't think that's going to save America. Politicians will start siphoning more money from somewhere else or create other programs as back doors.

There's a reason why Republicans are preaching about not raising taxes instead of lowering them. They start lowering taxes and they don't receive as much money as they can from shady ass government practices. And it's all about how much money we can pay so they continue to stay in the top bracket. Welcome to the pyramid scheme.

Blaq, so with military retirements being discussed as a 401 government plans, (I know it's not a 401 k plan, it's called something else..), this would be a problem for the siphoning, for true.......but as you said, it wouldn't stop it at all..... there are more programs to draw from.

Great information...

I appreciate you posting all of this..... indeed....

It's a passion of mine, well, money in general is a passion and what we, as a country, do with the said money is very interesting to me.

THANK YOU!
