@Sam

But I'm starting to hear a lot of opinions expressed from men about being held accountable for their actions.

They want to be corrected without the help of the authorities.
I am all for positive intervention without calling the police if someone is only a danger to themselves.

However, he proved to be a danger to another human being.

If he was not stopped, he could have continued to be a threat to the young lady.

And just as worse, he could have turned his attentions to other women.

This was probably the only way to stop him.

He clearly is of the low impulse control type. Those types of cretins only think of immediate gratification, and care nothing about how their actions may impact others & themselves.

And the fact that he collasped when the full force of his actions washed over him proves that he is a child in a man's body.

In the end, he only cared about his shattered dreams as opposed to the dreams of his victim, and the shame he brought to his own family.

you beat me to it. I had this topic up too lol. I think he should of got probation if he doesn't have a criminal record.
my feelings too...

prison `free food and room and board" and after prison dependence /lost manpower cost to society way more expensive than rehabilitation

{suspended sentence, community work, treatment, and college education with productive future}

just plain mean, spiteful , lack of empathy ,... immoral punishment not even justice {the victim even felt so}

penny-wise and pound foolish as British say

I'm sorry B...

But they were very lenient on him with 3 years.

You just thinking about his loss, a loss he brought on himself.

You're not thinking at all about the loss of his victim. It's not all about him. He doesn't get a free pass just because he's a male.

Berserker...how else would he have been stopped?

He knew the difference between right & wrong.

He just thought he was above it all.

He just operated under the belief that he was on the fast track to greatness, and so he could do whatever he wanted.

Chances are, he probably did other foul deeds before this one, and thought himself as teflon because he never faced any consequences for them.

When people fall from grace like he did, this is really him finally paying the piper.

Who knows what other things he did leading up to this?

People like him can go years just doing whatever to whomever, and someone else would have to clean up after him.

The fact he needed to be supported by the officer shows he is used to being spoiled.

The guy displayed an utter lack of remorse. He was simply devasted that he is at the mercy of forces beyond his control.

@ B

It's comical how when it comes to sex people will
argue that an 18 year old is a man, in fact, that a 16
year old male is a man.

And the same thing is true if he has nothing going
for him and gets in trouble with the law. Nobody cares
what happens to him.

But all of this is different if he has a promising career in
sports ahead of him.

He's suddenly only a kid, think of his career, give him
another chance.

It appears clearly that the sentiments of people only goes
out to a male at any age if he is a walking dollar sign
or has an advantage to becoming one.

People clearly associate humanity with money.

It's no wonder then that socially, the condition of
the people continually declines.
