Cray, the best solution is harsher punishment and the getting rid of welfare
for those who refuse to better themselves.

You can't just cut people's throat like that Damien.

It would only set off a war and rioting. Thousands or perhaps millions of people killed. And the police wouldn't be able to do shit but run for cover.

And on top of that,

It still will have solved nothing. :)
The majority of Americans don't give a shit about deadbeats. Therefore when the police and national guard start killing and arresting deadbeats for breaking the law, most Americans won't care.

I seriously doubt law abiding citizens are going to give a shit about a third time felon getting 25 to life over a stolen pizza.

Oh, the only people who do care are wealthy liberals who have never experienced the inner city and the women who take care of deadbeat thugs.
I would rather someone serve a life sentence for an actual felony.

Serving a life sentence for a pizza theft should be reserved for a serious crime.

The criminal with two strikes should only serve life after committing his third felony.
If. a felon gets a third strike for stealing a pizza (as in robbing someone and not shoplifting) then that felon deserves to get life in prison for being dumb. I have zero sympathy for criminals who intentionally hurt others.
One case of the stupidity of three strikes involved a man sleeping in the passenger seat of his buddy's truck.

The truck was stolen, but the guy did not know that.

The application of the third strike should not be done so haphazardly.
I see it as thinning out the herd.

I see it as saving money on only permanently incarcerating true felons.

We save money by not sending people to prison for life over petty crimes.

That's why I said prisoners should only be fed bread, water, and vitamin supplements.

We can also make money off of prisoners by having them fight to death and broadcasting it on Pay Per View. Of course these would be the death row inmates and the idiots who have life in prison without the possibility of parole.

If the prisoner wins the death match, then he or she will gain more privileges in prison such as smoking, alcohol, and, better quality of food, and limited recreational activity for no more than 60 days. After that, he or she will have to participate in another death match.

What I said might seem far fetch, but if the department of corrections and justice department charges viewers $200 dollars to watch it, then it would be worth it.

Deester,

You just drifted off into fantasy-violence land.

Come back when you want to talk about justice, and not fictional vengeance.

Part of being the good guys means you have to display a degree of mercy when dispensing justice.

Your blood-thirsty might makes right ideas will leave a large body count, and show that good guys are no better than the bad guys.

But we also have to show that we can't stoop to the levels of those who cannot coexist peacefully within our society.

We have to hold ourselves to a higher standard.

Have you ever thought of applying to be an executioner?

You know, the guys who throw the switch to electrocute prisoners, or the guy who administers lethal injection?

I might consider it.

Sam, I do not think we can coexist with hoodrats and thugs regardless of their race.
