Should black people in America put their faith and hope in the government, and if your answer is yes then explain why?

Blacks should put faith in GOVT to follow the laws.

If a law or legislation is passed which uplifts Black citizens in some tangible way, then Black citizens have every Right to expect that imperative in the society for benefiting our group or Race.

No disrespect, but this thread asks an insane question.

...yep, within the idea that Blacks citzens should not expect or should give up, on the idea of being treated equal to other Races/Ethnicities in a USA where this GOVT uplifts and instills hope and faith in them.

Like I told Blaq, which he knew to steer clear of addressing;

Name any group or Race which you feel has passed up Black People within their Progress, and I will show how the GOVT assisted that group's success & outlook-----in ways which Blackfolk claim we aren't worthy of nor should be expecting.

You said that blacks should put their faith in Government to follow laws. Are all laws good laws, slavery was a law in America for 100's of years but was that a good law? Should black people during the Civil Rights Movemnet have followed those laws?

Politicians don't care about anyone but themselves and their rich campaign donors. When are you dumb negroes going to get a clue?

You got that right most of the politicians in Washingtion DC are millionaires. Everybody running for president and vice president are millionaire. Can a regular American that work a 9 to 5 job become the president?

No.

Not at all.

Put faith in yourself, in your G-d (if you have one) and in your ability to use the brain and common sense that was given to you at birth.

What, pray tell, makes humans think that a rented (paid for by taxes) body of power cares about you as much as you should care about yourself?

With all that said (my own humble opinion, of course....)....... I do wish to say we should fight fight fight for equality and rights for our black brothers and sisters.

But fight, knowing that the ultimate goal of the those in power, is to stay in power and keep funding their padded accounts.

The very same people in here discouraging that govt expectation, I listed, I'd bet you all are the very first one's to be outraged when the law is broken against you.

Yep.

You all are The quickest one's to exercise that same GOVT's laws, to defend against you being transgressed.

skinny: Hypocrisy is never, a virtue.

It's not just black people, but all people should not depend on the government. I live in a state that is full of immigrants and I am not talking about just Mexicans. There are lots of people from Asia and Eastern Europe that get far more help from the government and believe you me, they know exactly where to go get help before they step foot into the United States. I heard this Korean lady tell this Korean man that he can get a house without any type of down payment. All he had to do is go to this Korean version of the NAACP and they will show him how and who to contact in the government to help him get funding.

White people are just as guilty at depending on the government too. When they get help from the government, they like to call it everything but some kind of welfare and they feel that they are deserving. When minorities get any help, then whites like to deemed them as lazy or looking for a handout.
