My Best Mate who lives in England is one of the most racists blokes I know.

Why he and I are even friends is an enigma........

If he's your friend then he can't be a racist.
You can be racist and still be friends with someone you feel is inferior. It depends on what sort of racist you are. If you are a racist who believes all others are mud people without souls then, yes, there's probably never going to be a friendship there. However, some racists, like the ones who wrote the Bell Curve, just believe that Blacks and Latinos are genetically inferior to Whites and Asians as a race or human subspecies. It would be no different than you being friends with a person who you thought you were far more intelligent than. It happens all the time.

Bottom line. You can be a racist, someone who believes that your race or even another race is superior to all others. That doesn't mean you can't be friends with the inferior race.

I understand this reply was under Ciss and Ciss's only responses to me are the thumb her nose and stick out her tongue so the majority of this post was probably aimed more for Sari.
Blaq.... you explained this quite well...and the fact is, my Englishman friend IS A DAMNED RACIST.....

Yet, somehow, he learned to look past all that when it came to me....

Which, is a miracle.

It has been noted that some racists will view one person of a group they hold distain for as "exceptional".

Michael Jackson during the 1980s is a prime example.

He was so special & unique...until the 1990s rolled around.

There's no such thing as racism.

It's nothing but a figment of the human imagination.

It isn't real. :)

There's only one human family on this planet, and all humans are human.

Anybody who thinks they're racial is simply delusional and due to discover that some day. :)

The Gods do not care whose who. As far as they're concerned we all are here to grow. :)

And they should know because they're the ones who sent us and designed our programs. :) :)

CB,

A good chunk of people know that, but the various "raced" based groups do not.

That's cool.

But those race based people will discover at some point how delusional they are.

And it usually take nothing but one of their own to cross them to do it. :D

Most people in those groups never grow out of the hive-mind mentality.

They maintain that mind-set even when one of their owns develops free will (and they will consider that person a traitor anyway).

Or when a con artist, or government spy infiltrates them, and sets about using the group for personal gain, or to destroy them from within, they will still maintain the hive-mind.

True.

For a lot of people, it takes many incarnations for them to learn.

Not everybody grows up in one lifetime. :)

But how we respond to them has a lot to do with what's taking them so long.
