I didn't want to read the letter because I thought to myself, if it's about how black women are portrayed via media, it should be an open letter to the Entertainment Industry.

Then I thought, well the Industry only does what makes money, so consumers should not support it.

Then I thought, well, I'll read the letter. Maybe I'll be surprised.

I read the first paragraph. She's complaining about black behavior on Reality TV while watching, supporting the very thing behaviors she's criticizing. Fail. Epic Fail.

I don't support reality TV that shows black people in a negative light. I don't watch it. Period. End of story.

No I didn't read the entire letter, because my first thought is the author needs to put her money where her mouth is. Maybe the letter got better as it went on. In my case, she lost me at "watch my regular dose of Reality TV". Oops. Guess I didn't make it entirely through the first paragraph after all.

^o)

Right there with you .....I went thru the same reasoning process and drew the same conclusions.

Good black women need to speak out against the bad black women, plain and simple.
What most people consider good women are women who will speak out about nothing besides being a good slave to a man. :D

People need to mind their own business, and live their own lives.
YES!

You cant tell a grown ass black woman what to do.

Meanwhile, is Marcus out there telling all the raggedy ass, deadbeats out there to get it together?

I think not.

So true sometimes.

I saw other women bashing women who were against submission and men being head of the household.

They were all like, that is why so many black women are single and cant find a man. Who wants that kind of man?

They started quoting the Bible and said we were here to serve men and let them lead.

They are the worst offenders sometimes

The letter is useless. They are still going to do what's neccessary to get a paycheck.
It's called selling your soul to the devil.

When people do reality television shows they are putting their own buisness out in the street for everybody to see.
