Just as I thought, pure speculation about who is being denied the right to vote. My parents even voted back in the forties, and I grew up seeing my parents vote. The question that I've always asked is, are people that vote, know what they're voting for? Do they take the word of "Rev Dr. Chickenbones", or do they really investigate the person they're so fond of, and see what they really stand for? Do they vote their convictions, or do they vote for someone who's popular? I'll say it again. Many people that are so excited about voting for Mr. Obama, couldn't tell you who represents their district if their lives depended upon it. Just a fact of life. |

Plenty of killers are law abiding citizens until they kill someone like the guy that shot up the movie theater, so what's the point of that comment? Criminals can't buy guns legally. As far as dealers not following the law, if you have any real proof of that , take it ATF and have them prosecuted. I'm still not sure about what any of that has to do with going to the local DMV every 4 or 5 years to get an ID that most people need in every day life anyway. The reality is those want to vote will do whatever is necessary to make it happen Edited by kennyinbmore, Aug 5 2012, 11:34 AM.

I would imagine after nearly $1,000,000,000 has been spent the the Black neighborhoods all over the country since the mid sixties, 90% of Blacks would at least be semi-literate! Ahhhhhh, LBJ and the "Great Society"! Worst thing that has ever happened for Blacks. I'm still in favor of a literacy test for ALL citizens. If you don't know who you're voting for,or why you're voting, you don't need to vote in the first place! Sounds elitist, doesn't it? |

Is Jim Greer preventing anyone from going to the local DMV once every 4 years to get an ID they need in every day life anyway? If you can't get to the DMV, how do you get to the polls? Edited by kennyinbmore, Aug 6 2012, 09:01 AM.

Ahhhhhhhh Kenny, typical Negro's excuse. "It's da man"! According to themand those like him,, it's always "da man". That only shows me, that this person has NO control over his life! There are many on this board suffering from "Whitemanitus", BEWARE, it's catching! |

No ! You and kenny got that wrong about me and also many other blacks in this country. There is a difference between blaming the white man and being walk on by the white man.Your choice is to look at everything thru the eyes of the right-wing white man and stero-type every black person as the problem so you use the excuse of blacks pulling the race card. You fools ! Just like a republican tea bagger, throw everybody else off the cliff just because of your selfishness not realizing that when push come to a shove you will be thrown in with the rest of the blacks.Blacks like you are why black folks are on the bottom in this country because you keep playing for the wrong team.Don't blame blacks for not wanting to be walked on, blame the elements of the GOP for wanting to walk over black voters. Or stay in denial ! |

How is it racist if the same rules apply to everyone regardless of race?

It's not racist but the justice department has evidence that this is just not the case and one of the witness who is a republican chairman gave written statement to the in-justice of the rule. You speak of rules but have no trust in our justice department? |

Let me give you the scenario in my home state. When I go vote, the polling judge asks for my name and address, no id. Now I know my next door neighbors name and address. I can vote in his place and no one would ever know. I could just go to the polling station, give the judge his name and address and I'm voting in his place. When he goes to the poll to vote, they tell him he's already voted and there's nothing he can do about it. It's that easy. |
