If this was not suppression, why would some states not accept military id, student id, veterans VA id, or birth certificates but will accept a damn gun permit. I know you will say prove that it targets blacks but some states are requiring this in predominatly black jurisdictions.
Can you post proof of this?

Sometimes a law doesn't have to say a specific ethnic group to attack them.

The Grandfather Clause was a law that gave anyone with a grandfather who voted the ability to bypass new laws on voting in some states. This meant many of the White people could still vote. It also meant many of the newly freed Blacks had to jump through hoops to do so. And occasionally the test were created by a state in a way that not even an educated White male at the time would pass it purposely to keep Blacks from voting.

However, nowhere in the Grandfather Clause was there a mention that it was an attack on Blacks themselves. This is just an example of how the right words can attack people without even mentioning who is being attacked.

I don't disagree, but Mal specifically said there was a law that only applied to minorities and not whites. I'm asking him to post a link showing that

Stop taking what I said out of context to try and appear clever. The law is being used against black voters and that is what I stated.

Just admit that you lied bro. Here's what you said

Preach the truth and I find it odd that anyone would try and justify all the underhand tactics the Republicans are using to stop poor, black, latino and young people from voting with rules that are not being applied to white people.

You can do better than that Ken, I know you are just playing semantics and it is beneath you.
The Ohio law, HB 194, cuts the days of early voting from 35 to 17, including eliminating the three busiest days just prior to the election. It also ends the requirement that poll workers assist voters who are at the wrong precinct and prevents county election boards from sending mail ballot applications to all registered voters.
This law was only applied to the black voting wards in Ohio, how many times does that have to be explained to you.
