Ok, to be serious...... I'm not against making a profit. There is NOTHING wrong with making money, and doing good business to create it. Here - the issue is in China's labor practices... they use child slaves and the Wal-Mart factory workers are treated most foul. I'm not saying I'm an expert on ALL of China ... but how they treat the Tibetans, their own citizens, or human beings, etc.............. is so upsetting to me. And to me personally - every time I buy something that is made from China - I'm helping to promote this atrocity. I can't stop the world's hurts. But I can do "something" - even if that one very small step is to not buy something from Wal-Mart. In the end, if making money is more important to one vs. how a human being is treated................... then shame on them. AND - I believe from the depth of my soul..... oh yes I do... that there WILL BE A DAY OF RECKONING....... Religion or no, somehow, G-d, or fate, or karma, or whatever you wish to call it, is going to come back and kick some people in the bee-hind, BIG TIME. I don't want to be in that pool of individuals, for I FEAR MY LORD. Ok, as always - this is my own rantings and my own opinions and my own thoughts..... |

Africa and the Middle East does the same thing Sari. Use child slaves. For soldiers and all kinds of other foul shit. There's a world sex slave industry supplied with children. But not all of China is engaging in child exploitation. Jewish rabbis have the legal right to rape Jewish kids. The most they get is a slap on the hand or house arrest. Kids are sitting ducks everywhere you go.

If we were to stop buying anything coming from exploitive labor practices, then we would be making everything we use ourselves. Unfair living is a problem that has to be changed in the behavioral patterns of people, because natural law stipulates that a person who chooses a slave life is entitled to live as a slave. And the average American are unaware of the fact that they live as slaves. A slavish reality is something that has to be changed in the individual. We can't possibly make everything we use ourselves. Fearing god is irrelevant to human social issues. It's only an excuse to do nothing about it. Edited by cisslybee2012, Jul 14 2012, 07:58 AM.

I have no doubt other countries and societies are doing the same thing. I never claimed differently. And my post was simply my own beliefs, my own opinions and my own convictions. In the end Cissly - we all have to do what makes ourselves happy. I don't judge others for what they choose to do or not do, that's not my job, nor do I care for it to be. I am only interested in doing the best I can... and hope when it's all over, I'm given grace for all I've left undone. That's it Cissly. There is no more. There is no less. |

I agree Sari, but that is because you are kind and caring. Most people who go to Wal-Mart or whatever store, rarely pause to think about where the products came from or how. Some people won't buy diamonds because of the atrocities asssociated with "blood diamonds" . If only more people were as socially conscious and idealistic as you. You are right, no one escapes karma. It is a universal force that provides balance in the cosmos, which includes earth. When humans begin to use more than 20% of their potential brain power, they can ascend and connect with this universal force. Then you will see a different world no longer ruled by greed, cruelty and chaos. Good comments all around. |

Just about everything we use is made in Asia. Our computers, TV's, Autos, cell phones, radios, stereos, music Cd's, eyeglasses, contact lenses, wigs & toupees, the dishes and silverware we eat with, every kind of industrial machinery, toys, and clothing and footwear. Practically everything. There's not a lot of American made products. Money itself is associated with blood V, and something most humans will do anything to get. Diamonds isn't about blood, it's the money it pulls that sheds blood. Money is blood related. In God We Trust isn't printed on the back of dollar bills for nothing. Money is the god of humans. So blood is written all over it. |

I am, by no means, a kind and caring person. I don't do this because I'm "nice.".... somehow this has been lost in translation. I am against diamonds, yes... that is true. I also buy ONLY fair trade chocolate. And I hate how China treats their labor force...... But because I'm kind and caring? no no no................. It's because it's the RIGHT thing to do. I can carry a black heart and be wicked and still do the right thing. |
