I see no problem with Allen leaving the Celts. Their window is closed shut. As long as he gave it alll he had while he was with them, there is no more that the team can ask of him. These cats are going to where they feel they are in the best situation for them to win a championship. Teams have been known to throw many of their players under the bus and back over them.

Whatever happened to loyalty and standing by your team.
How fair is it to expect players to show loyalty, which GM's & owners never show? When you were a kid, it wasn't about owner greed nor about expanding the NBA 'brand' to it's greatest profitability.

People who are fans like to forget that this only, a business, when it's time to attack players for putting their career-aspirations first...but we never ever attack owners/GM's for putting their org's first when they get rid of popular & productive players.

Allen, Pierce, Garnett, and especially Rondo------were outraged when Perk got shipped out.

Yet, no one made a thread like this attacking Ainge.

How was their window closed shut-----when they made The Conf. Finals?? ...is that like, an oxy-moron

And Without their injured rookie, I repeat, rookie SG nor without their young starting PF------all season long?

And please...don't respond, just-----------REFLECT!!

I am a Celtic fan and i'm not that pissed because we did sign Jason Terry who can light it up just as well as Ray Allen plus give you a better all around offensive game.

When Avery Bradley comes back, Ray was going back to the bench.

The Celtics were better when Ray was the 6th man. Bradley would have slowed down Dwayne Wade.

Chalmers and Battier are already giving Miami what Ray Allen will give them so they aren't gaining anything extra.

Boston is not dead. They have a young backcourt and veteran frontcourt players. Can't wait to see the first game between Boston and Miami.

Damn i'm actually agreeing with your ass. But the NBA is a cut throat business these owners don't give a fuck about loyalty. This nigga Marcus is still living in the 80's lol.

That's why I give props to DFisher when he came with one of greatest sport's quips, in history, during the lockout last year;

The way the NBA is today with free agency, you almost have to trade good players who threaten to leave in order to get some compensation.

exactly....

And The owners sought that free agency format tho', so...again it comes down to What I asked CHI re: why get mad at players/condemn them, for the owner's intentional destruction of the loyalty factor?

I'm not a sports person but I will say this, people have to make the best decision for themselves and their families, forget loyalty when it comes to a job. They will trade him or fire him in a heartbeat for any reason so why shouldn't he go where he want to go and for his own reasons.
