Everybody thinks their politicians is going to be honest and stand by their word. People thought the same thing when Bush Sr said no new taxes and immediately raised taxes. The same with Reagan who also mentioned he'd never raise taxes and did anyway. Clinton said he didn't have sex with Monica Lewinksy but he did. And Bush told us that Iraq was helping Osama and had WMD and that shit was so damn untrue we knew it the same moment he actually said it. So, to sum it up, the majority of people believe their politician is the most honest person in the world and the majority of people find out the hard way that a politician is measured by how much he sways with the breeze.
Do it yourself. Go grab a book. The longer the politician has been in office the more you see his or her view change. Sometimes they come full circle but they still change. You want to know why? They want to get re-elected and things change so therefore they have to change with them. Why in the fuck every time I type to you it feels like I'm teaching a damn 3rd grader?
