What’s made the difference is that unemployment has dropped more sharply in several swing states than in the nation as a whole. A resurgence in manufacturing is helping the economy — and Obama’s chances — in the industrial Midwestern states of Ohio and Michigan.

Nuff said. The GOP wanted the service sector to the strength of the USA; however, it could not do what the manufacturing sector does as far as providing jobs and money to keep us moving forward. The service sector does not expand outside the USA as well because others can provide those services, but if you want a 300, you will have to see us.

That is great news about the jobless rate dropping. It is amazing how Obama and the Democrats always have to get into power and clean up the mess that the Republicans have left. Romney has no ideas, no ethics and no morals unless it comes to protecting the rich.
Time to get organised Democrats.
No more talk but action.
Get your family and friends to register to vote.
Volunteer at your local Democratic election office.
Support Obama fundraising campaigns

Since when have high black unemployment rates been just Obamas problem.
"The black unemployment rate has been roughly double that of whites since the government started tracking the figures in 1972"
There is a recession on and since economic hard times always hit us hardest, we should have prepared better for our economic future long before Obama was President.
We do not create enough jobs in the black community from our own businesses, companies, factories, industries or farming. We lack a habit of being entrepreneurs which needs to change. The highest unemplyment rates are those black men between the ages of 18 and 30.
There are alot of social issues for this-poor education, few qualifications, time in jail, unstable life, lack of manufacturing jobs and lack of investment in inner city communities.

You mean, very well-deceived.

Since if it were true, then Blacks unemployment rate would've remained proportionally-unchanged, compared to Whites.

Instead?

It multiplied almost 3X that, of the White rate...during these past few tumultuous and vehemently, racist Times, we have experienced since '09...

Most posters on here do not read or watch the news like informed adults.

The unemployment rate is actually much higher than the stats.

Once someone's UI runs out, and do not find a job, the stats make it look like they are employed. A lot of people have given up looking for work.

Posters on this board think just because we have jobs, then all Blacks should be doing god.

They have been using the same method since they started doing this, so why do you want to change boats now.

What I posted has nothing to do with who is president right now.

It is obvious that government intervention doesn't create jobs.

Bush and Obama spent a combined total of 1 trillion dollars in order to stimulate the economy, and that failed.

The private sector creates a jobs. If people do not have spare money to spend, then the private sector doesn't make money. Therefore they do not see the need to keep employees let alone hire more.

Civil service jobs are based on tax revenue.
